At Consumer electronics show in Las Vegas, Continental a German automotive firm unveiled a concept delivery system, with the help of ANYbotics which is a robot company. The system uses driverless delivery vans which carry a bunch of four-legged robot dog to delivery a package right up to someone's door.

In this project, we will get to see Continental's completely autonomous Robo-taxi, called the 'CUbE' and ANYbotics quadrupedal robots that can find it's way to reach out to you. The Van carries these four-legged robot dogs which carry the package. The van doors will not open until the van arrives at the correct location. The robot dog will be sent out through the back door of the car to deliver the package at the recipient's doorstep.

Continental showed off a pretty impressive demo at CES. The robot came out of the driverless van, before making it's way to the model home by crossing the garden and clamber up the set of stairs to the door. As the robot dog reached in front of the door, it removes the package from it's back and placed in front porch, before ringing the doorbell with one of its arms.

Continental believes that this concept system will improve the efficiency of last-mile delivery in the future. With the help of robot dog delivery, Continental's vision of seamless mobility can extend to your doorstep said Ralph Lauxmann, head of Continental's system and technology, chassis and safety division. 'Our vision to arrange robot delivery leverages a driverless vehicle to carry delivery robots, creating an efficient transport team.

It is still just a future ambition. Continental doesn't plan to launch delivery robot dogs or the driverless van concept anytime soon.

I think these dogs can do much more than just delivery.
Let's see if Continental turns them into a "Super Dog".
